An imitation of Roman tape lace. It is formed of a linen braid (Louis Treize braid) of various widths woven with a straight plain edge. The braid is perfectly exact and regular. The braid is tacked in the desired design on to calico and with lace cotton the braid is connected in all parts. After removing the calico the fabric face remains. -
